Four mood boards inspired by the work of the Guerrilla Girls and the Bunny Collective, feminist art collectives changing the art world to accommodate the incredibly talented female artists that have gone unnoticed due to gender inequality.

This series is entitled “Sugar”, a title appropriated from an exhibition by the Bunny Collective. I’d advise anyone interested in this subject matter to read Kathryn O’Regan’s article, “No girl so sweet: An Introduction to SUGAR”. It highlights the way in which men use sugary sweet terms to describe women as if they were desserts e.g. sweetie pie, tart, honey etc. In this way it makes us seem less threatening, naughty but not harmful, pleasing in small doses.
